How to Use Rosemary Essential Oil
Rosemary oil should be diluted with a carrier or base oil. Mix a few drops of rosemary essential oil with an appropriate amount of jojoba oil. The blending ratio can depend on your skin's tolerance to rosemary oil. Start by diluting 1-2 drops of rosemary oil per teaspoon of jojoba oil.
Sensitivity Test: Before using the mixture on your skin, conduct a sensitivity test. Apply a small amount of the mixture to a small area of your skin (like the inner wrist) and wait for 24 hours. If there are no negative reactions, you can use the mixture safely.
Using the Mixture: After diluting rosemary oil and performing the sensitivity test, you can gently apply the mixture to your skin. Use it for massaging your scalp, skin, or other areas of the body as needed.
Carrier Oil Storage: It is advisable to store your jojoba oil and any mixtures in a dark, tightly sealed container, away from direct heat and sunlight.
Note on Concentration: Remember not to exceed 2% concentration of essential oils in the mixture to avoid sensitization. You can also add 2-3 drops of concentrated rosemary oil to your shampoo when washing your hair to enhance scalp health and nourish hair follicles. Leave it on for 2-5 minutes and rinse with water. Alternatively, you can add 5-10 drops of concentrated rosemary oil to every 100 ml of your shampoo.
